Vijay Reddy is a Machine Learning Specialist on the Google Cloud Customer Engineering team. His mission is to democratize machine learning and help companies realize the power of Machine Learning via Google Cloud. Prior to joining Google he worked at a startup using machine learning to detect bank fraud and prior to that studied computer science at Carnegie Mellon.

Technical Evangelist at Microsoft

David joined Microsoft in 2013 as a Technical Evangelist.  He has spent over 2 decades developing custom software solutions, primarily using Microsoft technologies. Additionally, he has been consulting in this area since 1998.

Julian is a VP at Promus Ventures and invests in visionary founders in areas such as artificial intelligence, space, robotics, machine learning, computer vision, VR/AR, connected car, healthtech, fintech, insurance, and others.  Prior to Promus, Julian was a founder, product manager, software and hardware engineer developing satellites, processors, enterprise software, SaaS, and education products in LA, SF, AUS, NY, and CHI. Julian has a BS EE from UIUC, and MS from Northwestern.

Jackie joined Hyde Park Venture Partners in 2016. She began her career as a consultant at Accenture in the Business & Technology practice, focused on ERP (enterprise resource planning) software and SaaS enablement projects. After Accenture, she joined Silver Spring Networks, an IoT company for critical infrastructure, driving development and pilot projects for emerging smart city technology. She holds a B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is currently pursuing her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Ablorde joined Pritzker Group Venture Capital in 2014, where he focuses on early stage and growth investments.  Prior to PGVC, he worked at Bain & Company, a management consulting firm serving Fortune 1000 companies worldwide.  While at Bain, Ablorde worked with clients in the consumer packaged goods, industrials, and utilities sectors, advising them on growth strategy and performance improvement.  He has also worked with promising entrepreneurs internationally at the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology Incubator in Accra, Ghana and with the Anzisha Prize at the African Leadership Academy in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Before MVP Innovation, David worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co., where he worked to improve strategy and operations for clients across a variety of industries, including consumer goods, agriculture, heavy industrials, advanced electronics, and petrochemicals.

Peter Christman joined Chicago Ventures in early 2015 and focuses on enterprise mobile applications and tools democratizing creative output and next-generation programming.

Previously, he led platform growth efforts at venture-backed energy marketplace Choose Energy and business and product development at Eurasia Group, helping multinationals across technology, energy and consumer products invest and operate in emerging and frontier markets.

Peter holds an MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Chicago Booth where he chaired the Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital group.

Ira is a founder of Hyde Park Venture Partners and a professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he teaches entrepreneurship and tax strategy. Ira has been actively investing in private companies for the past 15 years and has made over 125 venture capital and angel investments. Prior to his role at Hyde Park Venture Partners, Ira was a managing director of RK Ventures, a NY based pledge fund. Ira’s primary investing interests are technology-enabled consumer and business services and healthcare IT.

Guy has led investments in numerous B2B software companies and is a director at Cribspot, FarmLogs, and Zipnosis. Guy joined Hyde Park Venture Partners in 2011 from Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on corporate strategy across a variety of industries. Guy spent his early career as a mechanical engineer with Raytheon and General Electric and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Chicago Booth. Guy is also a Siebel Scholar, Kauffman Fellow, and co-inventor on two US Patents.

Sanjog Misra is the Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Professor Misra is actively involved in partnering with firms in his research and has worked on various projects with companies such as Eli Lilly, Adventis, Mercer Consulting, Sprint, MGM, Bausch & Lomb, Xerox Corporation and Lucent Technologies with the aim of helping them design efficient, analytics-based, management systems that result in better decisions. He currently chairs the research advisory committee at Convertro (now a part of AOL/Verizon) and acts as an advisor to AOL/Verizon of data strategy and science. At Booth Professor Misra will be teaching a new course on Digital and Algorithmic Marketing. This course brings his practical and research expertise in the algorithmic advertising and marketing domain into the classroom. He is hopeful that the class will get students ready for the next evolution of marketing that he believes is already underway.

Jigar Shah

After learning to program computers when he was 11, Jigar started his first company- a software development consultancy for Silicon Valley startups- and has been building technology businesses ever since. Most recently, he founded Finalyze to help companies unlock an additional revenue stream by productizing their data assets and selling them to the financial services industry. An AI enthusiast, Jigar has experience building machine learning systems at VMware and Argonne National Laboratory.

Brett Bivens

Brett is a Senior Venture Associate at TechNexus where he leads venture market research, deal sourcing, investment selection, and portfolio company engagement.

Brett has spent most of the last decade helping build early stage companies across the world. Prior to joining TechNexus, Brett led business development and marketing at Visible, a Chicago-based startup focused on helping companies improve the way they manage relationships with stakeholders. Earlier in his career, he worked in San Francisco on the deal team at Seedchange, and lived in India where he led International Operations for Krossover, a New York-based sports Analytics company.

Brett graduated from Valparaiso University, where he played on the baseball team, and lives in Chicago with his wife Camille and son Blaise.

Nick is an e-discovery veteran with over 15 years of industry experience in customer-facing roles. A member of the kCura team since 2007, he leads the customer group at kCura. In this role, he works closely with marketing, sales, and customer support and success to deliver an exceptional experience for the global Relativity community. Prior to kCura, Nick worked as a senior solutions consultant for Encore Discovery Solutions and served as vice president of technical services for Forensicon, a Chicago-based computer forensics firm providing investigative services in the areas of fraud and white-collar crime.
